THE COLLEGE TOUR
An Amazon Prime Video series that offers in-depth tours of colleges and universities all over the nation. In 2021, The College Tour filmed an episode at the University of Oregon (UO).
MY TASK: Write the host’s script.
THE SCRIPT
The host, Alex Boylan, provides viewers with a warm welcome, many quirky remarks between segments, and a sweet-sour goodbye to conclude the tour. I got to write it all!
My favorite line:
“Let’s uncover what makes the UO such an extraordinary university, and let’s hear why so many Ducks have love for their nest.”
THE PREP
I researched notable facts about the UO’s location, accomplishments, programs, and more. I also read previous The College Tour scripts to get a grasp of the show’s playful yet professional tone.
Plus, I helped with casting! Check out this short AroundtheO article I wrote to encourage students at the UO to audition.

THE AFTERMATH
After the big launch, I wrote an AroundtheO article to recap the episode’s success and celebratory events held at the University. The episode got over 16,000 views on YouTube in just two weeks!
