 SOME OF THE MANY CAPTIONS

“GO DO ANYTHING” CAMPAIGN LAUNCH: This year is one for the books. Title IX’s 50th anniversary is upon us, and Women In Flight wants to celebrate in a big way. Join us for a deep dive of the UO’s amazing women’s athletic programs. We’ll uncover the programs’ history, accomplishments and more all year long. We’re beyond excited to recognize these extraordinary women. They prove anyone can #GoDoAnything.

PEG REES SPOTLIGHT: Peg Rees began her UO athletic career in 1973, one year after Title IX passed. Women’s sports were on the brink of a much-needed change. Rees lived through this transition and worked to ensure a brighter tomorrow. From a three-sport athlete at Oregon to a committee member and coach, Rees helped the UO implement Title IX and make moves for athletic equality. Let’s celebrate Rees for her support and devotion to encouraging women everywhere to #GoDoAnything!

 “GO DO ANYTHING” WNBA POSTER

After our WNBA post went live, Rennie’s Landing wanted to bring the graphic to life. This popular Eugene bar plans to print out and plaster our “Oregon Legends” spotlight. Stop by when you have the chance to check it out in the flesh!

 STORY POSTCARD

BACK: “Becky Sisley began coaching at the UO in 1965 and became the first Director for Women’s Intercollegiate Athletics in 1973. She set the standard for an inclusive athletic program. Her efforts toward Title IX compliance led to more funding and facilities for women, including the University’s first official softball field. Sisley’s advocacy pushed the UO ahead of the curve in support for women’s athletics.”

BROCHURE

We created and printed 15,000 brochures to pass out at the women’s sports games at the University of Oregon. The brochure is split up by Women In Flight’s three target audiences (trail blazers, reformers, and believers).
